Tourette’s syndrome, first diagnosed in 1885, currently has no cure, and its etiology is still unclear in the medical community. Dr. Timothy Hottel describes a study intended to provide medical and dental teams with the ability to mitigate the clinical manifestations of Tourette’s. This is the first time a clinical study of this type has been done testing a noninvasive treatment for Tourette’s. The study will treat patients using an oral orthotic device against a placebo device.
